Ashford Music Fund
The Sean Ashford Music Fund was established in memory of Sean Michael Ashford, a music industry veteran who died tragically in a motorcycle accident on July 27, 2012. The Fund is a 501 (c)(3) public charity under the IRS regulations and is a Texas non-profit corporation. Donations to the Fund are tax deductible. The fund has previously made donations in support of local music in Texas schools through music lessons and the purchase of instruments for youth musicians to ensure aspiring, young musicians in North Texas have access to musical instruments, teachers to teach, and venues to hone their craft and entertain.
Money from the fund is now being used to help fight child hunger in North Texas. Each day 25% of area youth are food insecure and going hungry. The Fund supports the school backpack food programs and weekend food programs for children. Sean loved children and we will continue to help the children of this area to grow into responsible adults through this public charity.
Before Sean prematurely left this world, his passion for music was evident as he would go to any length to help musicians in the North Texas area. Through his work at the legendary Bronco Bowl and Trees in famed Deep Ellum, he was able to put local musicians in front of audiences they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to reach. He also reveled in catching the best music the city had to offer each week, most often from the side of the stage or front row, as he was a master of attaining the best ticket in town. He was certainly known as one of the kings of the Dallas music scene.
The Ashford Music Fund will raise money through contributions, fund-raisers, auctions, and a variety of annual events. The Ashford Music Fund was established with auction proceeds from Sean’s personal rock and roll memorabilia collection spanning decades. To make a donation, please click on the Make A Donation Today!

The Sean Ashford Fund held a Biker Charity Fun Run on September 13, 2015.
The event featured a 155 mile motorcycle ride over the North Texas area and ended at Stan’s Lakeview in The Colony. There was a live auction, 50/50 drawing and Classic Recall Band performed on the patio deck.
The Fund has made a donation to The North Texas Food Bank, Food 4 Kids program. Thanks to Stan’s, the merchants that donated goods and services and to the motorcycle riders of Texas for supporting this event and helping us help kids.
